This is a series on the narrative of surface. As time manifests visibly, the marks of use collect on things, and they turn into their own history book. Nothing you could read but a never-ending accumulation of violent scratches and smoothly rubbed edges. It’s there.
People can be much the same. Time goes forward, we experience, we react. We change emotionally over the course of our lives; bodies react physically to the stress of the experience. We gather scars and wrinkles, bear the marks left by circumstance or the lines we chose to inscribe. Endlessly moving, our appearance is just the result of our lives up until… now.
